When your 3 month old has an opinion about bottles

Oh, my baby, she's an opinionated one! Who knew that opinions/preferences would show up so soon. Prior to turning 2 months old my little one would take a bottle, sometimes she would protest but mostly she just accepted it because she was hungry. She also would take a pacifier prior to 2 months. Then, when she hit 2 months it was like a light bulb went off in her head and she realized that she didn't have to take a bottle if she didn't want to. If she waited long enough eventually Mom would come home and she could have the real deal instead of the plastic substitution. At the same time she began screaming when a pacifier was put into her mouth and while she never was interested in toys prior to 2 months she is now putting her hands in her mouth and even her blankets and clothes but never a plastic toy. If you try to put a teether in her mouth she gives you a funny look or cries!

We keep trying to give her the pacifier but until then I am on a 2 1/2 hour clock every time I leave the house (this has at least improved in the last week from a 1 1/2 hour clock). It's a good thing my work is less than a mile from home!
